The distributor behind the 20 tonnes of expired children’s milk that was thrown away yesterday said that the products expired in 2018 and 2019, and that it took over a year to get approval to dispose of them.
Circulating pictures incited rage online, as the milk was believed to have been hidden to sell at a higher price when subsidies lift.
