University students in Lebanon face a difficult and uncertain future. They can’t leave the country, they can’t afford private universities, and their only public university is under-budgeted and at full capacity.
Episode 3 of RIWAYAT looks to education as a right –but seemingly not in Lebanon. The Lebanese University faces a systematic attack by politicians tied to private universities, whose profits come at the expense of lower-income students and underpaid workers in times of crisis.
