2025 marked another year of escalation of the water crisis in Beirut, caused by political mismanagement and the climate crisis, leading to rising living expenses for the city’s residents. Beirut Today spoke with one of the meteorologists at the Lebanese Meteorological Department about the lack of rain, and with a CEO behind a private company that, like many others, supplies the people of Beirut with water when the government does not.
