Hezbollah Carries Out 28 Military Operations, Killing 17 Israeli Soldiers and Officers

Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for 28 military operations along Lebanon’s southern border. One of these operations involved detonating four explosive devices since dawn, targeting Israeli troops attempting to infiltrate the towns of Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun. The explosions resulted in casualties and injuries, forcing the troops to retreat behind the Blue Line after crossing it, according to Megaphone News.

Additionally, Hezbollah reported that a guided missile hit a Merkava tank in the northern Israeli settlement of Netua, while a rocket salvo targeted Israeli soldiers in Al-Thaghra, on the outskirts of Odaisseh, near the border, reported by Al Jazeera.

Later, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching a missile salvo at the Israeli Sakhnin military base in Haifa Bay.

Due to Israeli military censorship, the exact number of casualties has not been confirmed, but multiple helicopters were seen evacuating the dead and wounded from the border area, transporting them to hospitals in Haifa, including Rambam Hospital. On the evening of October 3, 2024, Hezbollah released a statement claiming to have killed 17 Israeli soldiers and officers in just one day.

Yesterday, the Israeli army acknowledged the deaths of eight soldiers in battles in the south.
